Wendy Shay Parts Ways with RuffTown Records, Goes Independent with New Team

Ghanaian music star and model Wendy Shay has officially confirmed the end of her contract with RuffTown Records after seven successful years. In an interview on OkayFM with Nana Romeo, she revealed that she is now working independently with a new team but continues to partner with the label on business terms.

Wendy Shay, whose latest hit “Too Late” is still trending across Ghana and beyond, expressed deep appreciation for RuffTown Records and its CEO, Bullet. She credited Bullet for not only discovering her but also guiding her through the music business, giving her the knowledge and confidence to lead her own career moving forward.

“I’ve learned a lot from Bullet. He has always supported me, even after the contract ended,” Wendy said during the interview.

The singer emphasized that her departure from RuffTown is not a fallout but a step forward in her journey as an independent artist and entrepreneur. Fans can expect more music, more power moves, and possibly even more hits from the Shay Gang queen as she embarks on this new chapter of her career.
