Zakaria Sherif, formerly known as Young Gally and now “Best Gally” is a Ghanaian multiple award-winning Hip Hop/Hiplife, Rapper, Songwriter, and Record producer based in Wa, the Upper West Region of Ghana. Born on 14th April 1993, he is the CEO of Wisdom Music Group and owns a recording studio inside Wa. Growing up, Best Gally developed a passion for music at a tender age but came into music professionally in 2013 under the management of DJ Vyper and Free King.
The talented rapper whose favorite slogan pronounces “rap sinner” sees him join Tadaa High Entertainment in 2014. Tadaa High Entertainment is a music group formed in Wa by young promising artists who came together to exhibit their talent back then. Gally was among them with other artists like Wiz Malik, Ojay, T.K, Young Muz33, and Game Bwoy, etc. Under Tadaa High Entertainment, he had a couple of songs like Waali Biihi Vielaan.
Gally made his way to winning the new artist in the ECHO SOUNDS MUSIC AWARDS in 2015. But later at Tadaa High, a lot of controversies popped up which caused a split that saw the duo take a step into a new label called “Team Work Rekodz” alongside his colleague Wiz Maleek. Gally served Team Work Rekordz for a year and parted ways again in 2017.
This time he wasn’t under any label, he took some time off and worked on his craft, growing his fan base, and went on to learn sound engineering. The year 2017 was when Gally went fully in for this thing called music, which saw him rebrand his fanbase as Gally Nation.
He launched his record label “Wisdom Music” the following year ‘2018’ with all the portfolios and necessary management board in place with Prince Banayelibali as his road manager and artists such as: (T.K, ReezyBwoy, Gafxity, Skelenzy, and Elvee) all officially signed under this record label.
Since working on his own, Best Gally’s efforts and hard work have paid off as the good people of Upper Region massively rallied behind his music career. His achievement in the Region is unmatched after painting his studio with award plaques and recalling how he owned a motorbike through music.
He is regarded as a major component of Waala pop culture and considered one of the fastest-growing artists putting the Upper West Region on the map.
As if it was ordained by nature, the awards started trooping in quite apart from being the youngest ever recipient of “Artist of the Year by Upper West Music Awards PRUMAS’17 and “Artist of the Year” in the Northern Ghana Entertainment Awards (NEA 2020).
Life And Music Career
Best Gally was born in Wa the Upper West Region of Ghana and began music at a tender age back in early schooling days. He came into the music industry immediately after completing high school. Gally completed Saint Paul’s Methodist school in Wa.
He also attended Dafiama Senior High School from 2011 to 2014, Where he studied General Arts and obtained his high school certificate.

GRASS TO GRACE ALBUM
Best Gally released his 3rd studio album titled “GRASS TO GRACE” on the 26th of December 2021. This new album consists of 18 songs tagging three as bonus tracks.
The album featured the likes of King Paluta, King Raph, a.k.a 1king, Netty, Fad Lan, and Bolgatanga’s Afropop sensation Cypid. Other featured artists include Evans Enzie, Phanaky, Don 45, Sina, Di Yungsta, Meshky, Yung Mani, Samson B, Ras Badingu, and El Twist.
The Grass To Grace album was a self-production by Gally Beatz. According to the management of Best Gally, this album is set to boost his career as he has considered it a New Era for his fans.
