Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has once again found himself among the biggest names competing for honours at the 2026 Headies Awards, securing seven nominations at the 18th edition of the prestigious ceremony.

The nominations, announced by the organisers on August 25, recognise artistes and works that made an impact during the eligibility period. This year’s ceremony is themed “Africa to the World” and is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada, on October 25, 2026.

Wizkid’s nominations span some of the biggest categories of the night, reflecting the continued impact of his music both in Nigeria and beyond.

The “Morayo” hitmaker is in contention for Best Male Artiste, while his album Morayo has also earned a nomination for Afrobeats Album of the Year.

His collaborations with Asake also feature prominently. “MMS” is nominated for Song of the Year, while “Jogodo” competes for Afrobeats Single of the Year.

Wizkid also receives a nomination for Digital Artiste of the Year, further highlighting his strong presence across digital music platforms.
